Gateways to Transformation
Peter Amato’s life has been one of transformation, growth and change. His initial career as an owner / operator of a family chain of automotive companies created an astute business acumen and subsequent wealth at an early age. But, money and material luxuries were not ultimately sustaining and Peter’s inner desire to answer life’s bigger questions led him to study with some of the biggest names in the consciousness movement including: Deepak Chopra, Andrew Weil and Zen master and Nobel Peace prize nominee, Thich Nhat Hanh – to name just a few.  

Inspired by his own personal growth and the realization that the North America needed a new model for healthcare, Peter became founder and president of three distinct companies.  

LEADER: Inner Harmony Wellness Centers
After a decade of operations the Inner Harmony Wellness Centers continue to roll out
bi-coastal and Peter is recognized as a world-leader and pioneer in the emerging field of integrative medicine. The Inner Harmony Wellness Centers across the country are devoted to delivering a whole-person, whole-care health and wellness model that combines the best of conventional medicine with alternative modalities such as acupuncture, chiropractic care, biofeedback, nutritional assessments and counseling.

TEACHER: Transpersonal Coach and Spiritual Transformer
With a Masters Degree in Transpersonal Psychology, Peter work goes beyond traditional health and wellness body therapies.  Peter strives to help his private clients understand their body-mind connection while encouraging them to embrace the spiritual dimension of their lives.  Interpreting, living and integrating this spiritual realm into daily existence continues to be Peter’s strongest and most enduring passion.

CONSULTANT: Inner Harmony Group – Corporate Wellness
But, Peter’s work goes far beyond private coaching.  For over a decade, Peter has worked as a transformational consultant with organizations and groups in four key areas: education, health care, recovery and addiction. Peter’s unique Inner Harmony Approach are packaged into workshops, wellness programs and retreats.

RETREAT FACILITATOR: Harmony Mountain Spa and Retreat
Helping organizations and groups move beyond their comfort zones into transformational work requires a haven of safety. Peter’s Harmony Mountain Spa and Retreat location provides a nirvan like settings where individuals can leave their daily concerns behind and focus on their on inner work.

In addition, Peter and the Inner Harmony Group are also serving as consultants on the business model for the Deep Lake project near Battle Creek, Michigan. This project is a combination of destination resort and spa, integrated wellness center, and residential community. Deep Lake's team also includes University of Michigan integrative medicine leaders Sara Warber, MD, and Rita Benn, PhD.


EDUCATOR: Inner Harmony Integral Education
As the co-founder and chair of the NIMC, with Andrew Weil, M.D. Peter has worked closely with the CDC, Department of Education, ACS, Komen and healthcare advocates in Washington, DC. To set up a meditation in program in school to help children deal with our fast paced world.  The results from this study were profound.

SPEAKER, LECTURER
Peter is an international lecturer and presenter that travel extensively around the world and offers his voice on such topics as consciousness and culture, personal growth, engaged spiritual for businesses and the Inner Harmony Approach to Extraordinary Leadership.  

AUTHOR: METAPHYSICAL AND INSPIRATIONAL WRITING
Peter co-authored a book with a tremendous group of healers called “A Blessing in Disguise: 39 Life Lessons from Today's Greatest Teachers” written by Andrea Joy Cohen, M.D.
Described by “Year to Live” author Stephen Levine as “a magnificent manual for receiving grace,” the Los Angeles Times Best Seller details the personal stories of today’s greatest luminaries and their most challenging experiences. It also describes how even the most trying situations eventually allow for inner peace, strengthened faith and a deeper understanding of life. Peter’s chapter in the book’s Spirituality section is succinctly entitled “To Be Happy.”
Peter also co-authored the book, “Leadership Moments: Turning Points That Changed Lives and Organizations.” Published in 2006, the book’s ten contributing authors each took a major leap in their lifetime despite personal risks and odds that defied success.
Today, Peter is working on his next book “The Only Way Out Is In”, a book that addresses global addictions and how to heal and reintegrate your life experience given these current perspectives.


VOLUNTEER
Although is plate is more than full, Peter still finds time to give back. He volunteers his time as a meditation instructor in the Pennsylvania State Correctional System and has received a Distinguished Service Award from the State. In the area of substance abuse rehabilitation centers, he has fostered the development of programs for adults and adolescents that successfully employ integrative medicine
